Bitgear crash detection and reconstruction module is set of algorithms and hardware reference designs which are result of years of extensive research and development in the area of vehicle dynamics and behaviour of inertial sensors in shock environments.

Solution

Bitgear crash detection and reconstruction module provides physical measurement of a crash event and report on relevant crash parameters that are standardly used in vehicle collision forensics. Crash detection and reconstruction module provides full crash classification, impact severity and injury probability estimation as well as estimation of vehicle three-dimensional trajectory in crash proximity. Module is validated at reference crash assessment facility and enriched with layer of algorithms that deal with installation and implementation issues – such as automatic levelling and orientation and lever-arm compensation that make practical implementation robust and straightforward.
